Southbridge...Paul R. Tremblay, 53, a lifelong resident died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Harrington Memorial Hospital after being stricken ill at home. He leaves his wife of 31 years Marie (Bolduc) and his two children Kelsie Tremblay and Stephen Tremblay, two brothers David M. Tremblay and his wife Ann of Charlton, and Robert E. Tremblay and his wife Brenda of Southbridge, a sister Donna Baldyga and her husband Edward of Southbridge, and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was born in Southbridge, son of the late Rene E. and Therese M. (St.Jean) Tremblay. He graduated from the former Marianhill Central Catholic High School, Class of 1982 where he was a gifted basketball and baseball player.
Paul was a life-long member of the Southbridge community. Not only did Paul attend school locally, but he was also a member of the Southbridge Planning Board, Southbridge Historical Society, employee of Schott Fiber Optics for more than 15 years, and owner of an antique business.
What he may have enjoyed more than classic rock, a cold beer, and Boston sports was making people smile. All who knew Paul were blessed to have experienced his caring nature, wonderful sense of humor, and zest for life.
Above all he was a loving husband and amazing father. Spending time with his son Stephen and daughter Kelsie made him incredibly joyful and would do anything for his family. It did not matter the activity, as long as Paul was surrounded by those he loved, he was truthfully fulfilled.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5-8 PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA with a funeral home Word Service at 7:30 PM. Burial services will be private.
