Marshy was the leader of the Martel clan that played in the Martel/Simpson Golf Tournament. The tournament lasted for almost 50 years. He was the organizer and award presenter. It was a friendly but competitive tournament played by a variety of Martel and Simpson family members and wannabees. Winners of the tournament can be found in the clubhouse of the Hemlock Ridge Golf Course in Fiskdale MA. He will be missed.
