Southbridge - Trevor William Lewis passed away suddenly on June 27, 2024. He was born in Southbridge, MA on October 11, 1990 to his beloved mother, the late AnneMarie (Wetherbee) Lewis, and his father John M. Lewis. Trevor is survived by his cherished daughter Liberty Lewis and her mother Stephanie Kenneway of Putnam, Connecticut. Trevor is also survived by his devoted girlfriend Jennifer Soponski and her daughters Addison and Lily Soponski, and her son Dillon Roy.
Trevor leaves behind his father and hero, John M. Lewis of Southbridge, MA, sister Stephanie (Lewis) Cyr and her husband Eric of Southbridge, brother Brendon Lewis and his wife Vanessa of Holland, MA, brother John Lewis Jr. and his wife Christina of Deerfield, NH, uncle David Wetherbee of Southbridge, MA, uncle Richard Wetherbee and his wife Joanne of Centerville, MA, aunt Penny Lewis of Bondsville, MA, aunt Lisa Lewis and her husband Tom of Pittsfield, MA, and uncle Matthew Lewis and his wife Julie of Florida, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition, Trevor is survived by his closest friends of nearly 30 years, Angel (AJ) Dingui and his fiancé Amanda of Oxford, MA, and Greg Gallant and his son Brockton of Southbridge, MA, and devoted family friend Jared Morrison of Thompson, Connecticut. Trevor was predeceased by his mother AnneMarie (Wetherbee) Lewis in 2018, who he loved immensely.
Trevor was a devoted father and partner, and loved living with “his girls.” He never missed a chance to have fun with his daughter Liberty, and would hop on a carousel or amusement ride at any time. His generosity knew no bounds, and he would end each phone call saying “let me know if you need anything!” Trevor was a master with tools, enjoyed working on projects with his sister Stephanie, could fix everything from toys to tractors, and always offered a helping hand to anyone in need. Having afternoon coffee with his mom Anne was a regular and cherished occurrence throughout his life, and Trevor was absolutely devoted to his parents, siblings, and friends. Making music with his brother Brendon was one of his favorite hobbies, and “the boys'' always had their guitars and drums turned up to 11, and would smile when their mother opened the basement door and shouted “turn that down!!” Despite the roadblocks that he encountered throughout his 33 years, Trevor never gave up and persevered through each storm. He was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in cyber security at the time of his passing.
Trevor was loving, empathetic, kind, generous, talented, creative, humble, and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone needing help. He will be missed by so many who loved him, but would want each of us to remember him with a smile rather than tears.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 2 from 5-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 pm at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. Burial will be conducted at a later date. The family encourages all those who play acoustic guitar to bring their instruments so that we may play for Trevor one last time.
