On Friday, January 12, 2024, Thomas John Sisley, beloved husband and father, passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was seventy-three. Born to Phyllis and Ethemer Sisley, Tom graduated from Rockford College with a bachelor of arts in Political Science. After graduating, he served two years in the U.S. Army. He went on to became highly regarded in the Insurance industry. At Rockford College he met Louise Neal Sisley; they have been married for almost fifty years.
He was best known for his quick-witted humor, fierce determination, and generous spirit. Most of all he loved doing things with his two cherished grandchildren. Tom was active in his local Rod and Gun Club and regularly volunteered for their activities. Tom also loved fishing, gardening, building things, photography, and walking his dog on local trails.
He is survived by his wife, Louise, his son, Sean and his wife Kimberly, and their children Abby and Logan; his daughter, Kristin, and brother, Scott.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 10 am until 12 pm at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. In lieu of flowers the family asks those who are able make a donation to The Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital, 55 Sayles St, Southbridge, MA 01550, or the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (cholangiocarcinoma.org).
