Theresa I. (Livernois) Capistrand

Dudley /Southbridge- Theresa I. (Livernois) Capistrand, 91, formerly of Southbridge, died Thursday, October 7, 2021 at UMass Memorial Healthcare following an illness. 

Mrs. Capistrand's husband of nearly 68 years, Normand J. Capistrand, died March 27, 2016.  She is survived by their four daughters; Norma I. Sauvageau of Southbridge, Eva L. Ohop of Dudley, Mary T. Fontaine and her husband, Bernie, of Southbridge, and Paula A. Martin and her husband, John, of Southbridge; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and her sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Robert Lavallee, of Torrance, CA.  She was predeceased by her grandson, Adam Sauvageau; 2 great-grandchildren, Tiffany Ward and Jeremy C. Martin; her brothers, George and Joseph Livernois; and her sister, Gertrude Meredith. 

Born in Southbridge on February 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Lorina (LaRochelle) Livernois.  She lived mostly lifelong in Soutbridge, until moving to Dudley to live with her daughter for the past few years.  Mrs. Capistrand worked for over 25 years at the former American Optical Company as a Lens Generator. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Capistrand are pending, and will be announced at a later date.
