Susan C. (Lomme) Richer

Brimfield...Susan C. (Lomme) Richer, 75, a longtime resident of Brimfield, died Saturday, April 15, 2023, at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late William J. Richer who died in 2017.

Susan was born in Southbridge, January 26, 1948, daughter of the late Lawrence and Claire (LaFortune) Lomme. 

She is survived by her 2 sons: Jason Richer and his wife Melanie of W. Roxbury, Corey Richer and his wife Jamie of Raynham, and daughters Heather Richer of Southbridge, and Dawn Lovely of Charlton.  She was affectionately known as "Mimi" to her only grandson Austin Lovely, who she adored. She is also survived by her brothers: Samuel "Sam" Lomme and his wife Sandy of Southbridge, James Lomme and his wife Linda of MA , Ronald Lomme of Ohio, and Joan Crocker of Nevada, and nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Linda Citka. 

Susan was a longtime member of St. Anne/St. Patrick's Church in Fiskdale. She graduated from Southbridge High School, class of 1966. She worked at Shaw's Supermarket in Sturbridge for over 20 years. She lived a full life with many pursuits. She loved spending time with her family, cooking delicious meals, taking care of her grandson, and loved her cats and fur-baby grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will always remember her infectious smile and loving spirit.  

Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 from 4-6PM.  The funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 4th, at 10AM, at St. Anne's Church, 16 Church Street, Fiskdale (Sturbridge) MA 01518.
