Susan A. (Couture) Morin

Fiskdale... It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Susan (Couture) Morin, 63,  on August 28th, at UMass Memorial Medical Center/Worcester, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief diagnosis of cancer.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Joseph A. Morin. They were married October 20, 1990.  Sue and Joe built a beautiful love story together, as well as a beautiful home on Big Alum.

Sue grew up in Southbridge, daughter of the late David Couture and Leah A. Germain Hubbard and her step-father Ralph Hubbard. She was pre-deceased by her sister-in-law, Yvette (Morin) Richardson, with whom she was very close to.

She was a graduate of Southbridge High School, and was employed by Karl Storz  in the evaluation department.

She is survived by her brother Donald Mantha of Warren, and her sister Diane Boutin of E. Windsor, CT., and her nephew Michael Boutin, her half-sister Michelle Couture Egizi of Williamstown, NJ, and her aunt Claudia Winkler of Monson, MA.  She also leaves her extended Morin family members and especially loved her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, and always looked forward to spending quality time with them and doing special "things" with them especially coloring. 

Sue especially loved to shop, going to the movies, and to dinner with her brother and late mom. She also enjoyed her quiet moments with her faithful companions "Princess" and "Ava" who were affectionately her babies, and her family and friends. She was a kind person who had a heart of gold, and if you were her friend, you were a friend for life.

The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11AM, at Notre Dame Church, (St. John Paul II Parish) 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA.  Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery, 746 N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge.  Calling hours will be Thursday, September 4th, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge.
