Southbridge...Steven S. Choinski, 75, died Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at UMass Memorial Medical Center/University Campus, after an illness.
He is survived by his brother Stanley and his wife Leslie Choinski of Sturbridge, and his close friends Debbie Lee and Betty Lamica.
Steve was born in Southbridge, son of the late Stanley and Josephine "Josie" (Waskiewicz) Choinski. He was a graduate of the former Cole Trade High School, and proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Everglades, during the Vietnam Conflict. He also served in the US Naval Reserves for 4 years.
He worked for many years with his father in the concrete/construction business, he also worked as a truck driver for L&P.
Steve enjoyed hiking and taking care of his cat.
A graveside service at 11AM with Military Honors will be October 28, 2025, at St. Hedwig Cemetery, 466 N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, 111 Young Road, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
