Shirley A. (Clark) Lapierre

Brimfield- Shirley A. (Clark) Lapierre 89, passed away Sunday March 06, 2022. Her husband of 48 years was the late Frederic W. Lapierre who passed in 2008. 

She is survived by her daughter Valerie L. Fontaine of Chicopee, and her son Frederic C.A. Lapierre of Brimfield. She also leaves 2 brothers, Errol Clark of Maine, Ellis Bailey of Maine and a sister Henrietta Rankin of Maine, also many Grandchildren and a few Great Grandchildren.  Shirley was predeceased by her daughter Karen Lapierre in 1992.

She was born in Damariscotta, Maine, daughter of Doris Simmons and Frank L. Clark. She was a Registered Nurse working at Harrington Memorial Hospital for many years.  She and her husband also owned Hillside Kennels where they raised and sold AKC registered German Shepherds. She also worked at the Springfield Boys Club Camp in Brimfield as their nurse for a few years prior to her retirement.

She loved going to Maine every year with the family to visit her siblings and classmates. She was an avid gardener. She taught obedience training classes for dog owners. She made the best homemade donuts ever, which she sent out every Christmas to family and friends.

The world has lost a beautiful soul. She was a wonderful loving mother, and cared about everyone she met. She will never be forgotten by family or anyone who was lucky enough to know her. It is her time now to rest and join her husband and family.

Burial services will be held at the Brimfield Cemetery on April 30, 2022 at 1:00 pm. All friends and family welcome. (VF)
