Obituary

Southbridge…Rose M. Earnest 93, died peacefully Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Born on August 29, 1927 in Danielson CT, the daughter of Albert and Beatrice Lucibella.  She was predeceased by her husband Albert “Abby” Earnest with whom she was married for 72 years until his passing in 2017.  Together they raised two daughters and happily made their home in Southbridge. Rose worked at several textile mills, and later was a domestic for several prominent doctors. Although she loved to work and keep busy, Rose finally retired in her 80’s. Over the years, Rose enjoyed her bi-annual trips to Vegas to pull the “one arm bandits” with her sisters and also loved her trips to play Bingo at her favorite casino, Foxwoods. You could always find her riding shot gun with her sister Bea, as they were forever finding a reason to take a ride together. She was fond of being called a snowbird while spending numerous winters in Florida with her daughter Cathy. In her later years, while happily residing with her daughter Carol, she enjoyed spending her time crocheting (particularly to gift to others,) watching game shows and most importantly spending time making fond memories with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose will be dearly remembered by those who loved and adored her for her kindness and gentle soul.  Several of her loved ones fondest memories will be those around the table eating her signature Roast Beef dinner.

She leaves behind her two daughters Catherine (Earnest) Nolin of Griswold CT and her daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and William Neilson III and their two daughters Makayla and Kierra Neilson of Griswold CT and Carol (Earnest) Theriault and her husband Pierre of Charlton, with whom Rose lived for the past several years while receiving the most loving and gentle care, and their daughter and son-in-law Shay and Robert Tremblay and their children Amber, Julia, Sophia, and Jeremiah Tremblay all of Woodstock CT. Along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four siblings; Frank Lucibella, Joseph Lucibella, Angeline Cobb and Theresa Zadora.  She leaves behind her beloved sister Beatrice Osowski.
