Roman Alicea, Jr. Obituary

Southbridge - Roman Alicea, Jr., 51, died peacefuly on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Southbridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
 
Born in Southbridge, MA on April 18, 1970, he was the son of the late Roman Alicea, Sr.  Roman is survived by his mother, Amelia (Fernandez) Alicea of Southbridge, MA; his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Alicea; his son, Roman Alicea III, of US Army Fort Irwin, CA; his daughter, Nalia Alicea, of Eustes, FL; his brother, Daniel Alicea and his wife, Kristen, of Southbridge; two nieces, Adriana and Aleyah; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 
 
Roman graduated from Southbridge High School with the class of 1988.  He was a machinist and production worker at Hyde's Manufacturing for many years.  He previously worked at Shaw's Supermarket.  He was a member of St. Mary's Church (St. John Paul II Parish).  He enjoyed fishing, and in his free time he also enjoyed tile work, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. 
 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 21, 2021, at 11am, at St. Mary's Church, 247 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.  Burial will immediatey follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge, MA.  There are no calling hours.  Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 is handling funeral arrangements.
