Robert "Bob" C. Ferron

Southbridge...Robert “Bob” Ferron, 85, passed peacefully August 10, 2020, surrounded by family at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester, MA. 
Bob was born on September 18th, 1934 to Napoleon and Florestine (Tremblay) Ferron in the town of Southbridge MA. He served his country in the US Army National Guard. 
He married his beautiful wife Lucia LeDonne on June 14th, 1958. Bob was a seasoned technician at  American Optical (now 3M) for more than 50 years. Bob held himself to a highest degree of integrity, this quality shown through, not only with friends and family, but his coworkers. Bob set an example with his actions, never one for words - he believed his actions spoke louder. Co-workers and friends described him as the hardest working and “the most respected person I knew”. While Bob put his best foot forward in his profession, his family was his greatest love. Bob was the epitome of a family man and took pride in providing for his family. His charismatic attitude, shown through in his work and his attention to the small details. He believed in fixing before spending and managed countless problems for neighbors, friends and family - he was the one so many people counted on. Bob enjoyed showing and teaching - very quick to volunteer to complete something that looked impossible to most. He always found a way. 
Bob is survived by his wife, Lucia, daughter Gina Ferron-Muccio and pre-deceased son-in-law Fran, son Jeff Ferron and his wife Christine, and grandchildren, Michael and Christina Muccio, and Gianna and Anthony Ferron. 
The funeral Mass will be held at 10AM on Friday, August 14, 2020, at St. Joseph Church, 10 H. Putnam Road, ext,  Charlton, MA. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery, 746 N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA 01550. A calling hour from 8:30-9:30AM will be held at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA prior to the mass. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, masks will be required.
