Rita L. (Corriveau) Zajac

Sturbridge/Punta Gorda, FL...Rita L. (Corriveau) Zajac, 93, a lifelong resident of Sturbridge and Punta Gorda, FL, died April 13th, at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL, after a brief illness.  Her husband of 68 years, Bernard S. Zajac, died in 2018.

Mrs. Zajac was born May 25, 1931, daughter of Arthur Corriveau, Sr. and Elizabeth Ida (Duquette) Corriveau. 

She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Zajac) Pierangeli and her lifetime spouse, Joseph Genoa of Sturbridge, MA and Punta Gorda, Florida, her son, Frank Zajac and his wife, Debra (Shea) of Palm Coast, FL, a brother Arthur Corriveau, Jr and his wife Georgette (St. Pierre) of Brookfield, MA.  A grandson, Robert Pierangeli, III and his wife Kelli (Sheehan) of Douglas, MA and a great-grandson, John Pierangeli of Avon, CT.

She was predeceased by her brother Bernard Corriveau in 2017, and a grandson, Jason Pierangeli in 2010. 

She retired from the American Optical Corporation, after a lifelong career.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
