Rene Berger

Southbridge...Rene Berger, 90,  of Southbridge MA passed away on Saturday,  January 27, 2024, where he vacatoined in Punta Gorda, Florida, for the Winter.

Rene was predeceased by his wife Jane Maynard Berger in 2015, and his eldest daughter Bonnie Masse in 2019. He leaves his daughter LuAnn and her husband Edward Kelly of Punta Gorda, Florida, his son, Joel and his wife Pamela Berger of Webster MA, and daughter Tammy Casey and her partner Paul Doyle of Webster MA, and several grandchildren Holly McGloin, Heather Kelly, Devon Alston, Siobhan Niquette, Megan Faford, Justin Berger, Shannon Casey, Corina Casey and 14 great-grandchildren. 

Rene was a longtime employee of Wyman Gordon Company in Worcester MA.  He was very talented and could fix just about anything. When the weather was nice you could find him with his head under the hood of a car, or relaxing on his porch. He enjoyed "hanging out" at WalMart, working on model trains, or watching the Red Sox with his family. He loved to camp in Summer and spend Winters in Florida.  He loved his dog "Boy", who was his constant companion and best friend.

A graveside service at 10AM will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at St. George Cemetery, Paige Hill Road, Southbridge.
