Pauline O. (Surprenant) O'Neill

Brimfield....Pauline O. (Surprenant) O'Neill, 83, died Saturday, February 19, 2022 after an illness.  Her husband was the late Joseph O'Neill, who died in 2018. 
She is survived by 2 daughters: Darleen Dalton and her partner Steven Desmarais of Brimfield with whom she lived, Brenda Mellott and her husband Dave of Maine, 2 sons: Richard Miner of Middlesex, NC, Anthony Miner and his wife Brenda of Maine.  She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, her brother Napoleon Surprenant and his partner Ritch Jackson of Staten Island, 2 sisters: Yvette Violette of Staten Island, NY and Francine Smith of Stafford Spings, CT, and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a daughter Denise Miner (1958), 3 brothers: Ernest St. Laurent, Richard Surprenant, William Surprenant, and 2 sisters: Jeanne Poulin, and Denise Surprenant.

She was born in Southbridge, daughter of Alphonse and Irene (St.Laurent) Surprenant and lived here many years before moving to Maine, where she owned operated Lakeside Motel & Restaurant in Liberty, Maine for over 20 years. She was an artist, where she enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, and making numerous rosaries with beads.  Many years ago, she worked as a CNA at Harrington Memorial Hospital.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 6-8PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
