Holland...Paul A. Pontbriand, 94, died February 28, 2026, at UMass Memorial/Harrington Hospital after a long illness. His wife was the late Shirley Murray Pontbriand who died January 13, 2009.
He leaves his daughters, MaryAnn Henschell of Southbridge, and Catherine Moulton and her husband Dale of Brimfield, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 6 brothers: Roland, Eugene, Roger, L. Raymond, Edward, and George Pontbriand.
Paul was born in Southbridge, June 4, 1931, son of Arthur and Lea (Brousseau) Pontbriand and lived many years in Southbridge, Sturbridge and most of his life in Holland. Paul worked as a welder for over 30 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft.
Calling hours for Paul will be Friday, March 6th at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge from 4-6PM.
Burial will be announced at a later date at Holland Cemetery.
