Charlton...Paul A. Jolin, 87, died Friday, March 10, 2023, after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Thelma J. (Burlingame) Jolin. They were married November 13, 1992.
Paul was predeceased by his first wife, Joan (DiFederico) Jolin, who died August 29, 1991. He leaves 4 sons: Paul A. Jolin and his wife Kathryn of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, Eugene J. Jolin of Charlton, Jeffrey Jolin and his wife Denise of Eastford. CT, and Mark Jolin and his wife Carin of N. Brookfield, a daughter Debra Ann E. Jolin of Tucson, Arizona, 9 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. He also leaves 3 brothers Emil Jolin and his partner Susan of Dudley, Marcel Jolin and his wife Helga of Sturbridge, John Jolin of Sturbridge, and 2 sisters Elaine Cardenas of Southbridge, Diane Gagnon and her husband Gerald of Brookfield, MA, many nieces and nephews. He also leaves step-children David C.Goddard of Rio Rancho, NM, and Linda A. Shenette of Oxford, MA.
He was predeceased by his sister Betty (Jolin) Gaumond, and brothers Joseph, Frank, Philip, and Eugene.
Paul was born in Sturbridge, son of Paul C. and Elizabeth B. (Favreau) Jolin and lived mostly in Sturbridge before moving to Charlton. He worked for many years for Stan Kaitbenski, Inc. Construction in Sturbridge.
Paul was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joseph's Church in Charlton where he served on the parish council. He was a 3rd Degree charter member of the Knight of Columbus of St. Joseph's Church. He was also a most talented woodworker, which he enjoyed very much.
The funeral will be Thursday, March 16, 2023, with the Mass at 11AM at St. Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Road, Ext. Charlton. A calling hour at the church will be held from 9:45AM to 10:45AM. Burial will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery, Arnold Road, Sturbridge, MA . Sansoucy Funeral Home is directing the arrangements.
