Paul A. Dubrey, Sr.

Sturbridge - Paul A. Dubrey, Sr., 79, died January 1, 2018, at Harrington Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Marie G. (Piccirilli) Dubrey.  They were married June 5, 1971.  He also leaves 2 sons, Paul A. Dubrey, Jr., and his wife Brenda, of Worcester, and Thomas Dubrey, and his wife Stephanie, of Sturbridge;  his daughter, Michele Peterson of Sturbridge; and 4 grandchildren, Ashley Gagnon, Katelyn Dubrey, Caroline Dubrey, and Wesley Peterson.  He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Gary Peterson, and 2 sisters, Gail Simmons and Judy McGovern. 
Paul was born June 5, 1938, in Cohoes, NY, son of the late Paul S. and Florence (LeClair) Dubrey, and has lived in Sturbridge for many years.  He was a graduate of Holy Cross College.  He was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving as a Commander.  Paul owned and operated the former NY Mass Motor Service Trucking Co. which ran from Springfield, MA to New York.  He was a member of St. Anne's Church in Fiskdale, MA.  Paul was an avid golfer.  He enjoyed reading history books, trips to Puerto Rico, classical music, and most of all, his family. 
Calling hours for Paul will be Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy St., Southbridge, MA 01550.  The funeral Mass will be Monday, January 8, 2018, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Anne's Church, 16 Church St., Fiskdale, MA 01518.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Anne's Cemetery, Arnold Rd., Fiskdale, MA.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Paul's name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.

Paul enjoyed bright colors, so in his honor, please wear something colorful to his services.
