Southbridge, MA - Paul R. Brunell 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Son of Arthur “Chick” Brunell and Florence (Fournier) Brunell, Paul leaves behind his three children, Gregory, Eric, and Virginia (Brunell) Porter and her husband David, as well as six grandchildren who were the proud love of their “Pepere”: Alexis, Cameron, Colton, Quinn, Cody & Owen, with shoutouts to Jake and Sabrina. Paul leaves a nephew Nathan and his family, and a niece Amanda and her family, whose parents were Paul’s deceased brother Robert & his wife Ellen.
Paul was born in Worcester, MA and lived in Southbridge his whole life. Paul graduated in the drafting department in 1965 of Cole Trade and he was employed for 15 years at American Optical as an office and facility space designer, then at Prime Computer in Framingham for 11 years, also as an office and facility space planner.
Paul was also employed at SCM Elderbus for almost 10 years, before retiring.
Paul’s hobbies included gardening and interest in 50’s and 60’s oldies music. He played softball for American Optical & Southbridge Town Leagues, as well as Webster Jack Benny Teams. He also was a lifetime Boston Red Sox Fan. Paul coached for his sons’ little league teams in Southbridge and his Lassie League Teams in Charlton. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
Due to the existing Covid-19 Pandemic, Paul's funeral services will be announced and held at a later time. Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA is handling funeral arrangements.
