Patrick Ryan McLeish, 31, of Brookfield, MA, passed away on July 6th, 2024, in a tragic car accident alongside his brother-in-law, Thomas Groccia II. Pat and Tom shared an inseparable bond as brothers and best friends, their friendship enduring until the end.
Patrick was born on June 20th, 1993, to Brian and Tammy McLeish in Southbridge, MA. After high school, Patrick worked alongside his father at his construction company, McLeish Builders, for over a decade. He later founded his own successful construction company, P.M. Construction. Patrick was highly regarded in his community for his craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, dedication, and warm personality.
In 2018, Patrick met Savannah LeBeouf through mutual friends and reconnected later through an online dating service. They shared an immediate chemistry and were inseparable ever since. They had plans for marriage and starting a family, a testament to Patrick's loving nature and paternal instincts, evident in his caring for his nephew Tommy and everyone around him.
Patrick had a heart of gold and a deep love for his girlfriend, family, friends, and animals, especially his beloved German Shepherd, Bytor. He also cherished his passions for music, fishing, boating, archery, hunting, playing the drums, and video games. He enjoyed vacations at the Cape with his beloved family. Above all, Patrick was an avid fan of the band Rush. His joyful, playful personality endeared him to everyone who knew him, as he was always dancing, joking, and making others laugh.
We will deeply miss Patrick and Tom and feel their absence profoundly. Their sudden departure has left a void in our lives that cannot be filled. We take solace in knowing they will be laid to rest together, forever united, and we will honor their memory every day.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Pearl McLeish, his great-great-father, Russell Cheney and great-great-grandparents, Roland and Mary Rondeau, and his uncles, Bruce McLeish and Scott McLeish. He is survived by his parents, Brian and Tammy McLeish; sisters Christel Groccia and Brianna McLeish; brother-in-law Sean Starratt; nephew Thomas Groccia III; grandparents Russell and Pamela Rondeau; and uncles and aunts David and Sandy McLeish, Nathan and Shannon Rondeau, Andrew and Dawn Bissonnette, Mark and Susan Bissonnette, and Rachel Rondeau and Ryan O’Neil. He is also survived by his aunt Vicky McLeish, who is the wife of Bruce McLeish and his great grandmother Vivian Cheney. Patrick additionally survives many cousins whom he loved dearly.
