Nilsa Resto

Southbridge..Nilsa Resto, 58, died at home Tuesday, November 28, 2017, after a long illness. She leaves her husband of 37 years David Rivera. They were married December 13, 1980. She leaves a son David Rivera, Jr and his fiancée Alysha Healy of Southbridge, and 2 daughters Nitza Rivera and her companion Carlos Santiago of Southbridge, and Lissette Rivera and her fiancé Chris Colby of Spencer, and 5 grandchildren Amikael Vazquez, Yaneli Vazquez, Jaeldriel Healy, Kaiden Rivera, and Jayden Colby. She also leaves 6 brothers Olivin Resto, Alexander Resto, Angel Luis Resto, Juan Manuel Resto, Angel Manuel Resto, and Julio Angel Resto all of Puerto Rico, and 5 sisters Isabel Resto of Puerto Rico, Brunilda Resto of Southbridge, Isaida Luz Resto of Southbridge, Iris Nereida Resto of Southbridge, and Emily Resto of Philadelphia. She was predeceased by a brother Efrain Resto.
She was born in Manati, PR, daughter of Geraldo Resto and Altagracia Trinidad of Puerto Rico. She was a former machine operator at the American Optical Company, where she worked for many years. She was a member of Saint Mary's Church. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and being a caretaker to all who needed help in any way.
Calling hours will be Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 9:30-11:00AM, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge MA 01550. followed by the funeral Mass at 11:30AM at Saint Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. Burial will be private.
