Sturbridge - Myron D. Hooker, 86, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Harrington Memorial Hospital, following an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol (O'Connell) Hooker. They were married November 21, 1959. He is also survived by his son, Michael Hooker, and his wife, Jennifer, of Sturbridge, MA; his daughters, Cathleen Milburn of New Haven, CT, and Lynn Gianattasio, and her husband, Richard, of Wellesley, MA; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Chester Hooker and John Hooker.
Born in Sturbridge, MA on April 24, 1934, he was the son of the late Chester and Alice (Webber) Hooker. He attended the former Cole Trade High School. He worked as a mechanic for the Town of Sturbridge Department of Public Works. Mr. Hooker was an avid motorcyclist. He enjoyed trips to Maine, Nova Scotia, and the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire.
