Southbridge ~ Miguel Pena Acosta, 72, died Monday, April 8, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Barahona, Dominican Republic on May 23, 1951, Miguel was the son of the late Luis Pena and Antonia Acosta. He is survived by his wife, Lucia Lopez. He is also survived by his son, Renso Pena of Texas; 4 daughters: Johanna Pena of Georgia, Miguelina Pena of Brooklyn, NY, Ruth Pena of Bronx, NY, and Carolina Pena of Southbridge, MA; his step-daughter, Crystal Castillo; 4 brothers: Rafael Pena, Leonardo Pena, Yunes Pena, and Luciano Pena; 2 sisters: Ana Pena and Milda Pena; several grandchildren, including his special little Alina Concepcion; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Miguel was predeceased by his beloved sister, Milagros Pena, who died in 2013.
Before his retirement, Miguel was a manager for an auto parts shop. He enjoyed fishing and walking, but most of all, he enjoyed his family.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 5-7PM at the funeral home. The funeral will be Wednesday, April 10, 2024, beginning with a gathering at the funeral home from 9:30AM-10:00AM, followed by a procession to the cemetery with a burial at 10:30AM in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Oak Ridge Avenue, Southbridge.
