Michael J. Neely

Charlton...Michael John Neely, Sr., 66, died February 6, 2019, at Mass General Hospital after an illness.  

He leaves his wife of 25 years, Elaine C. (Alexander) Derry- Neely. They were married October 9, 1993. 

He leaves 6 children Michael J. Neely, Jr. and his significant other Carol of Brimfield, James O. Derry and his wife Sarah of Dudley, Scott E. Neely and his wife Jennifer of Southbridge, Shaleena Duval and her husband Ernest of Poplarville, MS, Jill Derry of Moosup, CT, and Christina Thrasher and her husband James of Jacksonville, FL, 16 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren..  He also leaves a brother Randy Neely and his wife Ann of Seattle, WA, and sisters Laurie Hughey and her husband Frank of Colorado Springs, CO, Terry Pottinger and her husband Jeff of Virginia Beach, VA, and Patricia Neely of Gainesville, GA, and many nieces and nephews

Michael was born in San Diego, son of Edgar R. and Anne L. (Frank) Neely, Jr., and has lived here for many years. He was a US Army veteran. He was employed as a foreman for NED Manufacturer for many years. He enjoyed being a "jack of all trades" being able to fix and repair most things, but most loved spending time with his family.

Calling hours will be Monday, February 18, 2019, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.  Burial with Military Honors will be Tuesday, at 9AM, February 19, 2019, at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.   www.sansoucyfuneral.com
