Michael S. Costa

Worcester – Michael Costa, 63, died peacefully at home on Friday, September 22, 2017
Michael is survived by his daughter, Katherine (Katie) Costa Rumery of Huntersville, NC and two beautiful grandchildren, Savannah Bousquet of Charlotte, NC, and Cullen Rumery of Huntersville, NC.  Michael is also survived by his sister Andrea Costa Forte wife of Joseph Forte Jr.(Joe)of Ruskin, FL.  His family also consisted of several cousins, aunts and uncle.
Born in Southbridge, MA on 5-10-1954, Michael was the son of the late Constantine (COOKIE) Costa and Catherine George Costa.
Growing up Mike was introduced into the auto body business of  which his dad owned (Costa’s Auto Body), where he learned the trade. After his dad passed he went out on his own and did auto body and restoration work.
Michael was previously married to Susan Craig Costa with whom they had their daughter Katie, and remained friends throughout the years.
Another marriage was with Michele Trahan who has always kept in touch with the family.
Mike always loved the need for speed, starting at a young age with riding mini-bikes, then to motorcycles, snowmobiles, and boats.  He loved Nascar racing, football , and basketball. 
During his high school years at Southbridge High, he was quarterback on the football team, and played basketball.
Mike was always full of life and always could put a smile on someones face.  He always knew how to make people laugh, and was always there when someone was in need.
He will truly be missed by his family and friends that he met  throughout the years.
Calling hours will be Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 6-8 at Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge, MA 01550.  A Liturgy at 10:00AM will be Friday, October 6, 2017 at St. Nicholas Albanian Orthodox Church (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH) 126 Morris St., Southbridge, MA.  Burial will follow at OakRidge Cemetery, Southbridge.
