Michael C. Bonnette, Sr.

Dudley/Southbridge - Michael C. Bonnette Sr, 82, passed away peacefully after a long illness at The Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton, MA, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.  The family would like to thank the staff at The Overlook  Post Acute ward for their wonderful care of Michael over the past 4 months. 

Born in Southbridge on February 2, 1944, Mike was the son of the late Cleo and Sophie (Paoletti) Bonnette.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Mike was a truck driver, retiring from the Frito-Lay Corporation.  He lived most of his life in Southbridge, only moving to Dudley a few years ago.  

Mike was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Margaret A. (Smith) Bonnette, who died July 10, 2018.  He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Deborah and Rand Greene of Southbridge,   his son and daughter-in-law, Michael C. and Laura Bonnette, Jr., of Dudley; 4 grandchildren: Maegan Valcourt and her husband, Jarrod, of Brookfield; Matthew Remillard of Southbridge; Brian Bonnette of Dudley; and Brittany Bonnette of Webster; a great-granddaughter, Journey Haley; 2 step grandchildren: Danielle Reynolds and her husband Corey of Sturbridge, and Nicholas Greene of Douglas; and 2 step great-grandchildren: Willow and Lincoln Reynolds.  Mike is also survived by his sister, Barbara Busha, of Webster.

A funeral service for will be Monday, April 6, 2026, at 11AM, in the Central Baptist Church, 256 Main Street, Southbridge, MA.  A calling hour in the church will be from 10-11AM prior to the service.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge, MA.
