Mary "Millie" E. (Marand) Buckner

Glendale, AZ/Southbridge...Mary E. "Millie" (Marand) Buckner, 77. of Glendale, AZ,  formerly of Southbridge, MA, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020.

Mary was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian (Bachand) Marand.

She leaves behind her brothers Gerald (Rae) Marand of Woodstock, CT and Russell (Shirley) Marand of Woodstock, CT.  

Her children Wendy ((John) Tretheway of Southbridge, Debra Sibley of Southbridge, Joseph (Patty) Sibley of Southbridge and Mary (Benjamin) Esteban of Peoria, AZ. She was predeceased by her husband Carl and her brother Donald Marand.  She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and extended family.

She also leaves 5 grandchildren, Jeremy, Rosalie, Brenna, Savannah, Isabella, and 5 great-grandchildren, Cavan, Caleb, Connor, Catherine and Lilly.

She leaves behind many longtime friends whom she loved dearly.

Mary had various jobs when she lived in MA, the American Optical Co., Southbridge Livery, Southbridge Public Schools and Big Bunny Market. 

She moved to Arizona in 1993, where she worked at Banner Thunderbird Cafeteria, and Peoria Unified School System in the cafeteria.

She enjoyed bowling, going to yard sales, collecting odds and ends, her cats, decorating for Christmas every years, casinos, bingo, hanging out with her friends at Open Mic Night at different establishments.

Due to Mary's wishes burial will be for family only. The family asks you to remember Mary by wearing her favorite color purple and or making a donation to a charity of your choice. If you knew Millie, then you knew her favorite word.
