Sturbridge - Mary E. (Pelc) Morrell, 80, died Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, following a brief illness.

Her husband, Arthur Morrell, died in 2002. She is survived by two daughters, Lynne Thibert of Southbridge, and Cindy Provencher of Southbridge; 3 brothers, Arthur W. "Billy" Pelc of Sturbridge, Kenneth Pelc of Southbridge, and Paul Pelc of Florida; a sister, Rose Vega of Southbridge; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sons, Christopher Morrell, Timothy Morrell, and Thomas Morrell; and two brothers, Francis Pelc and Alfred Pelc.

Born in Worcester, MA on July 7, 1940, she was the daughter of the last John and Beatrice (Mousette) Pelc. She worked for many years as a grinder at Russell Harrington Cutlery in Southbridge. Mary enjoyed playing bingo, word search puzzles, making ceramics, and shopping.
