Maritza Rosario

Southbridge - Maritza Rosario passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 68.  Maritza was born on July 14, 1957, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.

Maritza was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and friend.  She will always be remembered for all the laughter, memories, and the love that she poured into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Maritza is survived by her children: Carmen and her husband, Pedro Orta; Gloria Reyes; Maria and her husband, Jose Aponte; Phillips and his wife, Maria Torres Reyes; Jose and his wife, Kimberly Reyes; and Omar and his wife, Marisa Reyes;
her grandchildren: Dariana, Tiesha, Haydee, Cassandra, Yareliz, David Jr., Kenneth, Christopher, Jose, Maya, Sebastian, and Aniya; her great-grandchildren: Nyah, Aerabella, Gianna, Mason, Isla, Markise, Jaiden, Rhaenyra, Lucas, Luna, and Melody; and her siblings: Brigida, Fabian, Gladys, and Jovita.  She was preceded in death by her father, Fabian Rosario Garcia, her mother, Monserrate Diaz Oyola, and her sister Haydee Rosario.

Calling Hours will be held from 5-8PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. A Funeral Mass will be at 11AM on Thursday, July 9, at St. Mary's Church, 247 Hamilton Street, Southbridge.  PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT THE CHURCH.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01707, or the American Diabetes Association, 40 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
