Marie C (Cicero) Ryan

Southbridge/Webster...Marie C. (Cicero) Ryan, 84, of Christopher Heights, and formerly of Southbridge, died Friday, October 9, at Harrington Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Her husband of 58 years was the late William F. Ryan, Sr., who died March 12, 2016.

She is survived by her 5 sons: William F. Ryan and his wife Brenda of Sturbridge; Daniel Ryan and his wife Lori of Sturbridge; Michael Ryan and his wife Maryann of Stratford, CT; Christopher Ryan and his wife Linda of Meriden, CT; Kevin Ryan and his wife Nancy of Pennfield, NY. She leaves 9 grandchildren: Melanie, Carly, Kyle, James, Leah, Tori, Maddie, Connor, Luke; and 4 great-grandchildren: Eliza, Julian, Alfie, and Charlotte. She also leaves a brother, Daniel Cicero and his wife Dorothy of Bridgeport, CT, and 3 sisters: Lucia Arsenault of Bridgeport, CT; Rose Truncone and her husband Sam of Crawfordsville, IN; and Diane Raschke and her husband Edward of Monroe, CT; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Cicero.

Marie was born in Dunmore, PA, daughter of Daniel J. and Alberta (Janis) Cicero. She lived with her husband and sons in Hebron, CT. She worked for many years with handicapped children for the Easterseals Society of CT, and was also a beloved nanny. In 1991 she relocated to the Southbridge area where she worked at the Publick House Bake Shop until retirement. Marie was a devout Catholic and she enjoyed reading, puzzles and birdwatching, but most of all she loved spending time with her loud and loving family.

The funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 with a Mass at 10AM at St. Anne's Church, 16 Church Street, Fiskdale, MA 01518. A calling hour will be held prior to the mass at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 from 8:30-9:30AM. Burial services will be private.
