Southbridge...Manuel R. Grullon, 77, died February 14, 2023, at UMass Memorial Health/Harrington. He leaves his wife of 52 years, Cayetana Baez de Grullon.
He also leaves his sons Edward Grullon of Southbridge, Leonel Grullon and his wife Deisy of Southbridge, and his daughter Rafaelina Henriquez and her husband Antonio of Bronxville, NY, and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Ramon Manuel Grullon of New Jersey, Manuel Grullon of Florida, Juseo Grullon of Salem, MA , Adalberto Grullon of New York, and Nestor Grullon of Salem, MA and his sister Marta Grullon of New York, many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Moca, Dominican Republic, son of Manuel Grullon and Maria Caceres Grullon. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of Saint John Paul II Parish. He served for 19 years in the Army of the Dominican Republic and after his retirement he worked in New York as a messenger for a travel agency. He always enjoyed music and while in the Army he served in the Army Presidential Band.
The funeral will be Monday, February 20, 2023, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, with the Mass at 11AM at Saint Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge. Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 19th from 4-6PM at the funeral home.
