Lucille R. (Cournoyer) Caron

Washingtonville, NY/Sturbridge...Lucille R. (Cournoyer) Caron, 83, a former resident of Southbridge and Sturbridge, died June 9, 2021, at home in New York after a brief illness.

She is survived by her children: Jeffrey and his wife Jennifer Caron of New Hampton, NY, Roger Caron, Jr. and his wife Linda of Park Ridge, NJ, Karen and her husband Joseph Amatulli of Avon, CT, and Kimberly and her husband Norman Vitale of Rock Tavern, NY, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.  She also leaves her sister Vivian Delisle of Sturbridge, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Joseph Caron

Lucille was born in Southbridge, daughter of Ernest and Dorothy L. (Lavoie) Cournoyer, and lived most of her life here before moving to New York. She graduated from the former Mary E. Wells High School, Class of 1957, and a former member of St. John Paul II Parish. 

Lucille most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

The funeral will be Thursday, June 17th from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street, Southbridge. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery, 746 N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home prior to the mass from 9:30-10:30AM.   In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
