Lucille H. (Lusignan) Auclair

Winthrop/Southbridge - Lucille H. (Lusignan) Auclair, 91, formerly of Southbridge, died May 5, 2020, at the Katzman Family Center for Living in Winthrop, MA, following an illness.

Mrs. Auclair's husband, Arthur R. Auclair, died February 6, 2002.  They were married November 16, 1957.  She is survived by 3 sons, William A. Auclair and his wife, Susan, of Santa Clara, CA, John Auclair and his former wife, Linda, of Southbridge, MA, and Thomas R. Auclair and his wife, Colette, of Aurora, CO; her daughter, Marianne Dalton, and her husband, Stephen, of Winthrop, MA; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her siblings William Lusignan, and Pauline Julien.          

Born in Worcester, MA, on October 1, 1928, Lucille was the daughter of William and Leontine (Genereux) Lusignan.  She was mostly a lifelong resident of Southbridge, only moving to Winthrop in the past couple of years to be near her daughter.  She graduated in 1946 from the former Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge, and was a graduate of the class of 1950 from the former Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing. Lucille worked as a Registered Nurse at Harrington Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1976.  She was a member of the former St. Hedwig's Church of St. John Paul 2nd Parish in Southbridge.  Lucille was an avid cruciverbalist.
