Southbridge - Kevin Wayne Butler, 71, passed away suddenly at his home in Southbridge, on September 14, 2023.
He was born June 25, 1952, the third son of Robert and Evelyn (Robidoux) Butler, of Charlton, MA. Kevin was predeceased by his father, Robert; his mother, Evelyn; his stepfather, Robert Burns; and by his eldest brother, Craig. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Butler; his companion, Tammi Cloutier; brothers Glenn Butler (Carlotta) and Timothy Burns (Lisa); sister Jody (Vilaire Bayard, MD); as well as by many dear nephews and nieces.
Kevin was an avid athlete in his youth. At Marianhill High School, Kevin was known as "golden toe" for his soccer skills; he also played baseball. He ran in many local road races well into his forties. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force; when he returned home, he attended Assumption College where he received his Bachelor and his Master's Degrees in Rehabilitation Counseling. Heritage Country Club in Charlton was his second home, working the grounds and playing golf with friends. He was also a huge Boston sports fan his entire life. We'll miss his infectious smile and that lighthearted joy that followed him everywhere he went. Kevin, you had tremendous faith above all else, and there is no doubt that you are in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
