Juan Suarez

Southbridge...Juan Suarez, 73. a longtime resident died at home January 29, 2025, after an illness.

He is survived by his wife Maria Y. Lopez of Southbridge, and 4 daughters: Yareliz Suarez of Southbridge, Yolimar Suarez of Southbridge, Cherie Elkhatib and her husband Fayyad of Maine, and Jeanette Suarez of Puerto Rico, and several grandchildren: Yelixa Vega, Ezekiel Velasquez, Amadaliz Rodriguez, Alitza Rodriguez, Aleena Rodriguez, Zabriel Rodriguez, and Jesse Dennison. He was predeceased by his daughter Melitza Suarez, who died in 2010.

He was born March 30, 1951, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, son of Jose Inez Suarez and Susana Alvarado. He worked for many years as a construction worker, and also as a bus driver. He liked country music, hunting, dancing, and most of all his "country hat" that he loved to wear.

Calling hours will be Monday, February 10, 2025, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
