Joseph Charles Sibley Sr., 78 of Winfield, joined the departed on Friday, December 9th, 2022 in Florida.
He is survived by three daughters: Wendy Tretheway of Southbridge, MA, Debbie Sibley of Southbridge, MA, Mary Esteban of Peoria, AZ, and son, Joshua Sibley of DeLand, FL. He is also survived by two brothers, James Sibley of Winter Haven, FL, Jeffrey Sibley of Port St. Lucie, FL, and four sisters, Janet Lemieux of Fort Pierce, FL, Judith Bowes of Oxford, MA, Joyce Gage of Webster, MA, and Joan Marchand of Webster, MA, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many special relatives and friends.
Born September 21st, 1944 in Worcester, Massachusetts, Joe was the son of the late Charles W. & Gertrude Flagg Sibley. He was predeceased by his son Joseph Charles Sibley, Jr., his sister, Jean Sibley, and two brothers, John Sibley and Jay Sibley.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran spending time in the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean during the Vietnam War. Joe was a small business owner providing electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services to the Scott County community. He was an avid racing fan with many memories made with the Marlar racing crew. He also enjoyed work, gardening, cooking, dancing, and listening to music.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21st, 2023, with visitation from 1-2PM at Jones & Sons Funeral Home with family and friends cordially invited to attend.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time and place with funeral services proceeding.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Winfield Fire Department, 24947 Scott Hwy., Winfield, TN 37892.
