Obituary
Holland – Jeffrey D. King, 69, died at his home on Friday, February 24, 2023, of ALS (“Lou Gehrig’s Disease”).
Jeff is survived by his wife of 48 years, Paulette (DeRouin) King, whom he married September 20, 1975. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Janet Cournoyer and her husband, Marc, of Southbridge, and Diane Kurr of Holland; his two best friends: Sue Draper of Palmer, and Dave Bonin of Brookfield; his Goddaughter, Heather Ferguson of Monroe, NH; his nephews and nieces; his father, Donald King; and three sisters: Kimberly Marcucci and her husband, James, of Southbridge; Stacy Petro and her husband, Ronnie, of Woodstock, CT; and Dara King of Southbridge.
He was predeceased by his mother, Joan (Cierpick) King, and his brother-in-law John Kurr of Holland.
Jeff was born in Southbridge on December 1, 1953. He graduated from Southbridge High School. He was employed for many years at Hyde’s Manufacturing as a machinist. He enjoyed music and was a proud Grateful Dead fan. He also enjoyed gardening, reading, and hiking the White Mountains and the Appalachian Trail.
