Jeannette "Jean" R. (Hetu) Lemoine

Southbridge...Jeannette R. (Hetu) Lemoine, age 99, died Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Quaboag Rehab and Skilled Care in W. Brookfield.  Her husband was the late Gerard M.  Lemoine, who died in December 1998.

She leaves two sons. Richard Lemoine and his wife  Janice of Glastonbury, CT, and Marc Lemoine and his wife Beverly of Southbridge.  She leaves her granddaughter Lisa Moody and her husband Steve, and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves her extended family Dianne Little and her husband David; Shawna Aytan and her husband Baris, and their children Aylin Defne and Bryan Little and his wife Elizabeth (Liz).  She was predeceased by her brother Paul Hetu.

She was born in Webster, daughter of Osa and Louise (Mercier) Hetu and lived most of her life in Southbridge.

She was a member of Notre Dame Church of St. John Paul II Parish, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality, and St. Vincent de Paul Society.  She was an Associate of the Sisters of the Assumption, and a member of the Southbridge Women's Club, and was a volunteer for the Literacy Program. 

Mrs. Lemoine was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working a Harrington Memorial Hospital for 21 years, and also worked as the office manager and surgical assistant for Dr. Richard Lefebvre for 27 years. 

The funeral will be held on Friday, March 24, 2020, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge with a Mass at 11AM at Saint Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge.  A calling hour will be held from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home prior to the mass.
