Charlton...Jane-Louise Cournoyer passed away peacefully on July 27th, 2024 at age 93 in her home in Charlton, MA, with her loving husband, son, and daughter by her side.

She graduated from Mary E.Wells High School and then Becker Junior College in Worcester, earning an Associates Degree as a medical secretary. She then worked at Dr. George Casaubon's office in Southbridge. In November 1958, she married Adelard W. Cournoyer, also of Southbridge, at the Notre Dame Church in Southbridge.

Jane was proud of her work with the Northeast Regional Department of Defense in Harvard, MA, during the 1960's. With Jane's support and help, Adelard owned and operated The Acton Pharmacy in West Acton, MA from the mid-seventies until 20....
In 1969 they adopted their son, Jeffrey David, and then in 1972, they adopted their daughter, Sharon Louise. Jane was a loving mother, and homemaker, as well as an avid photographer who won local awards for some of her photographs.
Jane loved traveling and she and her family visited Spain, Morocco, Mexico, Bermuda, Italy, Greece, Russia, Finland, Scotland, China, and many other places, spending two memorable summers visiting almost all of the National Parks in the United States and Canada, taking hundreds of photos of their scenery and wildlife. She also loved spending winters at their home in Vero Beach, Florida, and summers in their cottage at the Overlook in Charlton, MA.
Jane will be missed keenly by her husband Del-they were married for 64 years and she was always his best girl. She is also survived by her children Jeffrey Cournoyer and daughter-in-law Lisa Cournoyer of Pepperell, MA; daughter Sharon Howell and son-in-law Tom Howell of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; as well as three grandchildren, Caroline Cournoyer (22), Ethan Howell (21), and Maggie Howell (18).
