Ida (Gamache) Lafleur

Southbridge...Ida (Gamache) Lafleur, 100, died December 31, 2018, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Her husband of 50 years, was the late Roland G. Lafleur, who died April 25, 1994. 
She leaves nieces and nephews, including Lorraine (Gamache) and Peter Robidoux of Vermont, and very dear friends Jesus and Holly Rosa of Southbridge, and Phil and Sandy Belanger of Southbridge.

She was predeceased by her brothers George Gamache, Leo Gamache, and Roland Gamache, and her sister Irene Desmarais.
Ida was born in Southbridge, November 13, 1918, daughter of Hormidas and Josephine (Therrien) Gamache, and has lived here all her life.  She was a longtime member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and now of St. John Paul II Parish.

Ida enjoyed golfing, and bowling, and playing pool. She retired from the American Optical Company where she worked for many years.

The funeral for Mrs. Lafleur will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge with a Mass at 11AM at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street. Southbridge. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery, N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA 01550.  A calling hour prior to the mass will be at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30AM.
