Hortencia Juarbe

Hortencia Juarbe, 82 years old, of Worcester, passed away to her eternal home on July 25, 2023.

She is survived by two daughters; Nancy Gutierrez and Hortencia "Ita" Singvongsa,  a son Antonio "Tony" Casteleiro; two brothers Pablo and Miguel. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family members.  She will always be in our hearts.

She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Gutierrez and two sons Louis Gutierrez and Mario Casteleiro.

Lydia was born on April 23, 1941, in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico.  She lived her younger years in New York where she started her family.  She moved to Worcester, MA in the early 70's where she lived most of her life before moving to Southbridge, MA. She worked for many years and retired from the Worcester Housing Authority.  

She enjoyed making arts and crafts and gave them out as gifts to family and friends.  She also enjoyed cooking, especially new recipes and spending time with her little dog and companion "Tiny".  She was a loving mother, kind and generous to all that knew her.

Funeral Services will be held privately.  Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA is assisting the family with arrangements.
