Hilda (Rivera) Ortiz

Southbridge - Hilda (Rivera) Ortiz, 58, died Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at UMass Memorial Healthcare Harrington in Southbridge, MA, following an illness.

Hilda is survived by her husband, Victor Ortiz.  She is also survived by her only child, her son, Willie Camacho of Southbridge, MA; her grandson, Christopher Camacho; her parents, Jose and Anna (Vasquez) Rivera; five brothers: Jose Rivera, Edwin Rivera, Rene Rivera, David Rivera, and John Rivera; and her sister, Evelise Laramee.  

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, on September 11, 1965, she was raised, and has lived, in Southbridge for many years.  Hilda was a graduate with the class of 1984 from Southbridge High School.  She worked for many years as an insurance adjustor.  

Calling hours for Hilda will be Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5-7PM in Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.  A gathering the next day in the funeral home ,Thursday, January 18,2024 will be held from 9:30-10:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in St. Mary's Church, 247 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge, MA.
