Hector William Marcano

Providence/New York City...Hector William Marcano, 86, formerly of Providence and Southbridge, died July 4th, at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx after an illness. He is survived by his wife Providencia Carrasco Marcano of the Bronx, and his children Anthony Marcano of Worcester, Georgina Daniels of Webster, Yojairo Maisonet Marcano of Providence, a sister Dalila Lepage Marcano of Southbridge, and his brother Carlos Marcano of Southbridge, 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

He was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, son of the late Calixto Marcano and Dolores Montanez. He lived in Providence before moving to New York about six months ago.  He graduated from high school and worked at a steel factory.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 9th, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. The funeral Mass will be at 10AM Wednesday, July 10th, at Saint Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA followed by the burial at Oakridge Cemetery, Southbridge, MA.
