Southbridge – Gilberto J. Baez, 76, died Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Umass Memorial Healthcare, 55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester, following an illness.
He is survived by his wife, Ana Brito Baez. He also leaves 4 children; his mother, Maria A. (Veras) Baez of Cayetano, Dominican Republic; many grandchildren; and a large extended family.
Mr. Baez was born July 22, 1943 in Cayetano, Dominican Republic, son of the late Leoncio Baez. He worked in infectious control for 34 years.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. Burial was in the Dominican Republic.
