Gertrude A. (Caplette) Lacasse

Southbridge...Gertrude A. (Caplette) Lacasse, age 100, died Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at UMass Memorial Health/Harrington.

She is survived by her loving son Mark K. Lacasse, with whom she lived. She was predeceased by her daughter Paulette Lacasse, who died in 2005. She leaves 2 sisters; Margaret and Lucille both of Florida. She was predeceased by her husband Raoul Lacasse.

Mrs. Lacasse was born in Southbridge, daughter of the late Armand and Marie Rose (Valois) Caplette, and was a lifelong resident of Southbridge. She was a member of Notre Dame Church. Mrs. Lacasse retired from the American Optical Co. where she worked as a press operator.  

After her retirement, she enjoyed being a homemaker living with her son Mark, who she adored.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge is assisting with the arrangements.
