Gerard Arsenault Obituary

Fiskdale ~ Gerard A. Arsenault, 88, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 20, 2023, after an illness.

Gerry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Norma Jean (Soethe) Arsenault.  They were married September 4, 1955.  He is also survived by three sons: Gregory Arsenault and his wife, Liz, of Tucson, AZ; Mark Arsenault and his wife, Marie, of Charlton, MA; and Brian Arsenault and his wife, Carol, of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren: Tara Arsenault, Grant Arsenault, Nicole Arsenault, and Lindsey Arsenault; a brother, Robert Arsenault and his wife, Mary, of Charlton, MA; and two sisters: Louise Parent and her husband, Paul, of Southbridge; and Celine Cronican and her husband, Steve, of Fountain Hills, AZ.  

Born in Southbridge on November 4, 1934, Gerry was the son of the late Alfred and Alice (Poirier) Arsenault.  He was a US Marine Veteran and he served in the Korean War.  He worked at Hyde Manufacturing for many years.  Gerry was a lifelong parishioner of Notre Dame Church in Southbridge.  

Gerry's funeral Mass will be Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10AM at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA.  Burial with Military honors will immediately follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery, N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge.  A calling hour prior to Mass will be from 8:30-9:30 AM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA.  The family requests in lieu of flowers that you kindly consider making a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
