Geraldine "Geri" A. (O'Brien) Filion

Geraldine (Geri) Filion Southbridge, MA – Geri A. Filion (O’Brien), 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021, after a short period of illness. 

Her husband, Maurice Rodderick Filion passed away almost 50 years earlier. She leaves her son, Larry Filion and grandchildren Larry Jr., Nicholas, Courtney, and Breanna and great grandchildren. 

She was born in Colrain, MA to John Edward O’Brien and Dorothy Ann Deveny on August 12, 1941. Geri worked at the Center of Hope Foundation for 36 years in several capacities, including Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director. 

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Throughout her adult life she consistently proved to be a caring advocate of people with disabilities, as well as others needing support, care and a kind word. She will be very missed. 

A memorial service will be Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00am at the First United Methodist Church, 449 Main St., Southbridge, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Center of Hope Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 66, Southbridge, MA
