Gerald J. Lapierre

Charlton/Sturbridge....Gerald J. Lapierre, 87, a resident of the The Overlook, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at UMass Memorial Medical Center/University Campus.
His wife was the late Lucille J. (Trudeau) Lapierre who died in 1998. He is survived by his daughter Nancy and her husband Bill Cormier of Holland, and his son Marc Lapierre and his wife Cheryl of Sturbridge.

He was born in Southbridge, son of the late Theodore and Sadie Loranger Lapierre.  He was predeceased by his step-father Emery "Tim" Gendron, and his brothers Robert, Roger, and Donald Lapierre.

Mr. Lapierre was a longtime general contractor owning G.J. Lapierre Contracting.  After retirement, he moved to Newport, RI, returning in 2014 moving to The Overlook.

The funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 10AM, at St. Joseph's Church, H. Putnam Road, Ext., Charlton, MA.  Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery, 746 N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA 01550..  There are no calling hours. Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge is directing the arrangements.
