Gennesse "Gennie" M Alicea

Southbridge...Gennesse M. "Gennie" Alicea, 39, died Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.

She leaves her daughter Ryleigh M. Alicea Embair of Southbridge, her father Dorri Alicea and his companion Monika of Southbridge, her mother Evelyn Papaleo Alicea and her companion Gary of Southbridge, her sister Ilma Yvette Corley and her husband Jared of Thompson, CT, and 2 brothers: Scott Alicea Bailey and his wife Heather of Southbridge, and Eric Mix and his wife Jeannie of Pomfret, CT.  She also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Gennie was born in Southbridge, June 29, 1985, and graduated from Southbridge High School, and was a member of St. Mary's Church (St. John Paul II Parish). She worked for many years as a counselor for social services.

Calling hours will be from 4-6PM, Sunday, November 24th at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. The funeral Mass will be 10am Monday, November 25th at Notre Dame Church, (please meet directly at the church) 446 Main Street, Southbridge.  Burial will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge.
