Frederick Dileone Obituary

Palmer - Frederick George Dileone, 71, died Sunday, December 14, 2025, after a long hospitalization.

He was born in Somerville, MA, on November 26, 1954, son of the late Frederick J. and Patricia J. (Vasile) Dileone. He is also predeceased by his brother, John Frederick Dileone.  He is survived by his sons, Jonathan Frederick and Eric Brandon. Fred graduated from Waltham High School in 1972 and earned an associate degree from Bunker Hill Community College. He went on to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.  He became a guidance counselor for the Palmer Public school system for over 25 years, enjoying a long and successful career.

Fred was a coach for the high school football and baseball teams for the Palmer public school system for many years. He loved working with the students, helping them to focus on their academics while also growing emotionally and socially to be their best.
Fred enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to the blues and rock and roll. He enjoyed gardening and working with his hands and wood working. He would always go the extra mile for his sons attending every sports event his boys participated in. Always able to brighten up a room, Fred effortlessly made people laugh and brought so much joy to many people. He would go above and beyond to be the best man/father/friend he could be, and though he is gone, he has left so many great memories behind with those he loved.
